This notice describes the information we process when you visit or use the Dalia website.
2. Browsing and first-party analytics
We may record information about browsing, visit origin, interactions, and general technical information about the device, browser, or network.
Browser storage may remember preferences and keep first-party identifiers for aggregate usage estimates. You can remove them by clearing site data in your browser. We may still process technical information that is strictly necessary to provide and protect the service.
We use this information to operate the site, measure aggregate content performance, understand campaigns, fix problems, and prevent abuse. We do not sell this data.
3. Chatbot
The chatbot does not require an account, but a conversation is not completely anonymous: together with messages, we may store technical, session, usage, and security data, including a general approximate location.
Messages are sent to our infrastructure and artificial intelligence provider to generate a response and apply safety controls. Do not use the chat for health data, passwords, identity documents, or other sensitive information.
In systems we control, we keep conversation text for no more than 12 months for continuity, quality control, security, and assistant improvement. We then delete the text. We may retain metrics and structured information that no longer contains message text for longer when needed for aggregate analysis, security, or compliance. The AI provider processes content under its contractual obligations and applicable operational retention periods.
If you ask to join a list or be contacted through the chat, that request is also covered by the next section and is not necessarily deleted when conversation text is removed.
4. Forms, contact, and waitlist
When you complete a form, we may process your name, email, language, selected goal, testing authorization, capture source, campaign attribution, and date. We use this data to respond, administer the list you requested, send the relevant notice, and—only if you authorized it—invite you to related testing or communications.
We may retain the record while the list or relationship remains active and afterward only for as long as reasonably needed to address pending requests, protect the service, or comply with law. You may ask us to delete it sooner.
Our email and infrastructure providers receive only what is necessary to provide these services.
5. Dalia Foods
If you use Dalia Foods, we may process:
- email, account identifier, and session information;
- access status or entitlement to the available edition;
- display name and preferences you choose to provide, such as declared allergens, goal, dietary preference, units, or usual serving;
- favorites, shopping list, and usage state stored locally in your browser;
- recipe requests, errors, and technical data needed to operate and protect the service.
We use this information to authenticate you, display recipes and preferences, maintain your choices, administer access, and provide support. Allergen matches are informational and based on each recipe's declaration; they do not certify that an ingredient or trace is absent.
Account data is retained while the account is active and then for the period reasonably needed for security, deletion requests, and legal obligations. Local storage remains until you clear it in your browser.
6. Cookies, storage, and measurement
The site uses local storage and similar technologies for necessary functions and preferences.
We do not currently use third-party advertising tools. If this changes, we will update this notice and implement the applicable consent controls before enabling non-essential measurement.
You may clear cookies and storage through your browser. This may reset language, consent, and other preferences.
7. Providers and transfers
We may share strictly necessary information with hosting, security, artificial intelligence, authentication, database, communications, and operational analytics providers, as well as authorities or advisers when required by law.
Some providers may process data outside your country. We use reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational measures as applicable. We do not share conversations or form data with advertising networks.
8. Retention, security, and rights
In addition to the specific periods above, we keep data only as long as needed for the stated purpose, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. We use encrypted connections, restricted access, and other reasonable safeguards, although no system is infallible.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or restriction. Email dalia@cavexo.com. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity.
9. Age, changes, and contact
The services are intended for people age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this notice if the site, providers, or law changes. We will publish the new date and version.
